At the beginning of the pandemic, I happened to look out my window and saw a raccoon on my back porch. He was eating the sunflower seeds I had put out for the cardinals who frequented my porch. Needless to say, as an animal lover, I was elated. I rushed out and bought a bag of cat food and bowls to accommodate him. A year later, I now have at least a dozen raccoons, seven skunks and more opossums than I can count coming to my porch every night.
